THE QUEEN BEE Maggie
Jackson brings to her company 20 years of experience in organizational management. She is a highly motivated professional
with a unique combination of work in higher education administration, not-for-profit management, customer service, marketing,
communications and business development.
Her key strengths are her excellent written and oral communication skills,
a proven track record of solving problems and brainstorming solutions, extensive strategic planning experience, and strong
organizational and time management skills. Her desire to help people and to have variety in her day-to-day work schedule prompted
the creation of The Organized Life. She also immensely enjoys finding ways to make life simpler.
Maggie has solved
major organizational problems in each of her positions and offers coaching services for those executives where procrastination
and failure to plan ahead are issues. She specializes in simplification processes – she can look at a current practice
and determine a more efficient and effective way to accomplish the task.
Maggie is a graduate of the University
of Notre Dame and Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and spent over a decade working in higher education.
She is member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), Iowa Professional Organizers (IPO), the
National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD), Faithful Organizers and the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.
In August 2010, Maggie received the prestigious Golden Circle designation from NAPO, which recognizes members who have attained
an elevated level of experience and have been engaged in the business of organizing for at least five years. Her commitment to continuing education is demonstrated by her
successfully receiving the designation of Certified Professional Organizer (CPO®) after passing the national examination
in January 2008. She has earned
nine Level I certificates of study from the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD): Chronic Disorganization
(March 2006), Basic Attention Deficit Issues with the Chronically Disorganized Client (June 2006), Learning Styles and Modalities
(April 2007), Chronic Disorganization Client Administration (April 2007),Basic Physical Conditions Affecting the Chronically
Disorganized Client (April 2007), Understanding the Needs of the Elderly Chronically Disorganized Client (September 2007),
Basic Mental Health Conditions and Challenges Affecting the Chronically Disorganized Client (March 2008), Understanding the
Needs of the Student Chronically Disorganized Client (April 2008) and Basic Hoarding Issues with the Chronically Disorganized
Client (September 2008). In May 2007, Maggie
passed the CD Specialist examination and In September 2008 she passed the ADD Specialist examination, designating her
a Level II graduate.
She works with clients in eastern Iowa, including Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and surrounding
areas. She is an active member in her community and enjoys a great book, long walks with good friends, a swim in the pool
and time with her family.
